New Production Introduction (NPI)

At JCY, we believe in starting it right first time.

JCY NPI team has over 20 years of experience taking new products to production. Our team of dedicated Engineers works diligently with our customer’s design team from the onset of product design and development. We become an integral part of customer’s design process, providing manufacturing solutions through Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Cost (DFC) analysis.

Every new project starts with resource requirement assessment which allows us to assemble a team with the right mix of expertise. Manufacturing processes are designed with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in mind, to identify the risks for failures throughout the manufacturing process. New products are cross referenced with our Generic Product Requirement (GPR) to leverage past experiences and to ensure shorter learning curve for smooth product launches.

Our Quality experts will perform advance quality planning which includes Control Plans and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) for optimal measurement and process control.

JCY maintains an effective NPI process where each development stage is clearly defined with associated signed off to enable both Operations and Engineering to resolve issues that would affect product quality, yield and cost before entering mass production mode.

During the volume ramp phase, all duplicate manufacturing equipment are qualified via statistical analysis like T-test and Analysis of Variance (Anova).

Our Supply Chain experts are involved up front to source for best value materials that contribute positively to product reliability and customer’s satisfaction in a timely manner.
